Gabcikovo Dam CBA (2009-2010)

MAKK conducted a comprehensive cost benefit analysis of operational and further investment alternatives of the Bős-Gabcikovo Hydro Power Plant/Dam, originally planned as a Slovak.Hungarian joint venture in the 70’s-80’s, but eventually solely built in Slovakia in the 90’s.

Economic Impact Assessment of Green Public Procurement (2009)

On assignment of the Ministry of Environment, MAKK conducted an economic assessment of introducing Green Public Procurement for six product groups (with fuels, cars and energy efficient buildings and office equipment among them) listed in the Green Public Procurement National Action Plan.

Renewable energy sources to be supported from EU Funds (2006)

MAKK as contractor of COWI Magyarország Kft. participated  in the project ”Analysis of prospective inclusion of the utilisation of renewable energy sources under Cohesion Fund and Structural Fund support”, which, for the National Development Agency, established the renewable energy investment support programs to be co-financed from EU funds.

Further development of the energy generation and CBA model of the Gabcikovo-Nagymaros Dam and Barrage System (2002)

The Danube Commissioner’s Office contracted MAKK to further develop and modify the energy generation model, which was originally developed by MAKK in 1999. The model is capable of simulating energy production scenarios of the Barrage System.
